HEY THERE!
My name is Tora (dactyl) and I'm your YEG based artist and photographer. People always ask me how and when I got into photography and to be honest I've dabbled in it since I was 8 years old when I got my first little pink digital camera from my dad for Christmas. My dad is a landscape and nature photographer who has won multiple awards for his photos... which I think is very cool.
I didn't start taking it seriously and pursuing it as a career until about 2018 when I bought my first DSLR to take photos of my partner's band at the time and skateboarders. In 2020 I got asked to take product photos for a local YEG coffee shop and that's when my photography career REALLY started to take off. For the longest time I was focusing on brand and product photography along side content planning and managing which has been a lot of fun! But where my heart really lays is in my local music scene and capturing the moments of when people come together over music and celebrations.
